Eddie Izzard, Others Cast in Powers TV Series

Unfortunately for everyone, Izzard will not be dressed in drag for the role.

Source: Deadline

Deadline reported on some Powers casting news today. British comedian Eddie Izzard will play Wolfe, former mentor to Christian Walker turned big bad villain. Noah Taylor will play criminal mastermind Johnny Royalle, and Olesya Rulin will play Calista, something of a sidekick/mentee to Walker. Those last two replace Vinnie Jones and Bailee Madison respectively in those roles in the pilot. We're still trying to get over the fact that this Powers TV show seems to actually be moving to the finish line this time after being abandoned so often in the past. If it continues at this rate, the TV show will lap the nearly fifteen year running comic book by the time the comic reaches its forty-seventh six-month hiatus sometime in 2017.
