DC reportedly doesn't want unlicensed fan art being sold for charity when it's made by a guy who sends pictures of his junk to women that didn't ask for them.

Earlier this week, we reported on Yale Stewart and the two controversies he's become embroiled in: namely his sale of unlicensed artwork featuring DC characters to benefit charities following various national tragedies and the subsequent reveal that Stewart has sent pictures of his genitals to multiple non-consenting women. Now, Bleeding Cool is reporting that DC Comics plans to send Stewart a Cease and Desist letter to prevent him from selling any more wallpapers, and potentially all other sales related to the characters they own.
Previously, DC had turned a blind eye to Stewart's JL8 comic, which Stewart claims is fan art and not at all a way for him to make a living selling commissions and merchandise loosely associated to the comic. But, with the recent reveal that Stewart's been engaged in inappropriate behavior and that his charity work is viewed as more self-serving than philanthropic, it seems that DC's legal department is finally clamping down on Stewart's unlicensed use of copyrighted characters and symbols created by other and owned by Warner Bros.
We'll keep you updated on any new news regarding this story. In the meantime, please enjoy this satire piece in which we sagely predicted that DC would take action against Stewart in light of his recent scandals.
