Ultimate Spider-Man to End With Current, Third Season!!

The controversial cartoon, not the "critically acclaimed" comic with the same name, will end with it's current third season entitled: "Web Warriors".

Ah what a shame. This show had such potential, but alas as a VERY wise omnipotent being once told us: "All good things must come to an end."

Sadly, this was not a good thing for all, as the bi-polar show divided people who either loved it for it's simplicity, or hated it, both for it's outrageous tone for jokes, and also for said simplicity. Regardless, with the current third season, Web Warriors, completed, it is not being renewed for a fourth season. This is all per Animation Guild Blog, which keeps tabs on all the various animated shows being made. Here's what they said:

Marvel Animation

Avengers Assemble -- Ongoing
Hulk and the Agents of S.M.A.S.H. -- Ongoing
Ultimate Spiderman -- produced, and now completed, at Film Roman.

Other sites are listing this as simply canceled by upper Marvel staff. That is far from the truth, as the program has aired SEVENTY-EIGHT episodes, a good, hearty run for an animated show. In fact, that's twenty-six more than Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes, and ironically enough, fifty-two (the hell is someone at Marvel or Disney a DC spy in diguise? Wait  a second.. Jeph Loeb runs Marvel Entertainment Division formerly worked on various DC Comics.. Steve Wacker currently underling edited 52 the comic. OH MY GOD!!!!) more episodes than it's predcessor, Spectacular Spider-Man, along with Wolverine & The X-Men. It's also probably to clear the path for the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy cartoon that's set to premiere next year.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I will must bribe Amazing Spider-Man writer Dan Slott and ask what kind of sacrifices are needed to brutally murder this version of Spider-Man in the event that's about to explode tomorrow in the books, Spider-Verse.

Though back to the conspriacy side of things, note that former Spectacular Spider-Man show-runner Greg Weisman has recently departed Star Wars: Rebels, just after finishing it's first season. What sort of thing could have made him do this?!  His show has been regarded as THE Spider-Man cartoon. Did he leave because an opening for a future Marvel cartoon was available? Perhaps even another Spider-Man cartoon, or something else? CUE THAT CONSPIRACY MUSIC AGAIN!

Well, even if that kooky theory isn't true, there is one fact that is: Ultimate Spider-Man is over. Are you glad or sad? Feel free to share your thoughts.
