With Bill Murray a little too pretentious and Harold Ramis a little too dead to get the original gang back together for a Ghostbusters sequel, the next best thing is a reboot that takes an entirely different approach. We learned we'd be getting just that back in October, with the only question being which actresses would be cast, besides, of course, the obligatory Melissa McCarthy. Well, today we find out, because Heat Vision has the scoop on the cast:
Melissa McCarthy is officially signed on.
Kristen Wiig is reportedly in talks.
SNL's Leslie Jones is negotiating as well.
As is co-worker Kate McKinnon.
According to THR, all four are expected to sign on, with filiming to begin this summer.
What do you think? Can these ladies live up to the legacy of the original film? Okay, okay, that might be a tall order. Can they live up to the legacy of Ghostbusters 2?
