In Brilliant Spark of Creativity, Conan/Red Sonja Crossover to be Followed by Red Sonja/Conan Crossover

Where did they come up with such an amazing idea?!

In what is widely being viewed as the most groundbreakingly creative decision in the comic book industry this year, Dynamite Entertainment and Dark Horse Comics will follow up their Conan/Red Sonja super-mega-crossover event with a new Red Sonja/Conan super-mega-crossover event. Written by Victor Gischler, the events of Red Sonja/Conan will take place a year after the events of Conan/Red Sonja, but the publishers claim that it will be written with new readers in mind. It will be a difficult feat to convey the nuances of these characters - mostly naked dude kills things with sword and mostly naked chick kills things with swords - but the creative minds that envisioned such a revolutionary crossover twice are surely up to the task!

There's no artist yet attached to the series, but Dynamite already has the covers for the first issue, which is due out this summer. To celebrate their accomplishment, the two companies published a press release where everyone heaped unending praise upon each other.

"We at Dynamite are very proud to work alongside our friends at Dark Horse Comics to reunite these icons, and to deliver the best fantasy comic books ever made available on store shalves," said Dynamite Publisher and CEO Nick Barrucci.

"We're extremely excited to see Dynamite complete this adventure fifteen years in the making between these two classic characters," said Dark Horse President Mike Richardson. "Dynamite has been a fantastic partner to work with on this critically acclaimed series and no doubt their story arc will be an excellent contribution to the Robert E. Howard legacy."

"I'm very excited to be working with two amazing iconic characters like Red Sonja and Conan. It's also pretty awesome that two comic publishers like Dynamite and Dark Horse can come together to make something like this happen," said writer Victor Gischler "I think we're in for some top notch high adventure."

"Zzzzziiiiip," said all three men's pants simultaneously as they undressed and began to make sweet, sweet love to each other.

Look for Red Sonja/Conan in stores after Conan/Red Sonja wraps up. Here's some covers, by Alex Ross, Ed Benes, and Roberto Castro:
