Yes, It's Real: Secret Wars 'Civil War'

War within Wars

Source: Exclusive: Marvel comics go back to 'Secret Wars'

This Summer, there will be lots of punching. Because we cannot get enough of superheroes punching one another, Marvel has decided to bring back Civil War (as teased last year), this time within Secret Wars so we can have all war all the time. War.

Though it is based on the 2006 series, like most other Secret Wars throwbacks, the writer will take it in a "different direction". For this Civil War, the chronicler will be Charles Soule, and he describes his Civil War thusly:

"If you look at the ideas that that story had [2006's Civil War], Iron Man thought superheroes should have to register with the government, and become something of a police force. Captain America thought that that was restricting the central freedoms of this country. It was a debate of security versus freedom. We're taking that basic idea and expanding it to a larger canvas. The Registration Act is all in the past at this point. It's more of a world drastically changed based on a superhero war, and it's a huge story and it's fun to be able to involve every Marvel character there is."

Secret Wars Civil War will be set in a world that has been ravaged for some time before the start of the story by that superhero war. Secret Wars' Civil War will be illustrated by Leinil Yu. Sale date was not revealed in the announcement. Of course it doesn't hurt that we'll get Captain America: Civil War in theaters next May.
