Ever since the first The Avengers movie (not to be confused with Captain America: The First Avenger) fans have been clamoring for a solo Incredible Hulk movie starring Mark Ruffalo. Well, according to reports coming out of everywhere, that just isn’t about to happen. From collider.com:
As far as a Hulk movie, a standalone Hulk movie, Marvel doesn’t really have the rights to that yet. That’s still Universal’s property, so there’s that issue. That’s a big impediment to moving forward with that. Now I don’t think that’s insurmountable, by the way, but I don’t know where it’s going from here for me.
I could try and research to see why Hulk is ok for The Avengers movie but not a solo movie, but I don’t really care too much about those details and I usually get them wrong and them someone in the comments section gets an e-chubby by pointing out my mistakes. So, I’ll just finish with this quote from cinemablend:
Though Ruffalo said he doesn’t know yet if he’s in Civil War or not, Hulk could theoretically appear in any number of these films. As the actor revealed, he has approximately four more films left on his Marvel contract, which means we’ll definitely see him in some capacity after Avengers 2.
