Kelly Sue DeConnick and Matt Fraction's production company, Milkfed Criminal Masterminds, held a panel at San Diego Comic Con today, and perhaps the most interesting news to come out of it is a new book by DeConnick and Bill Sienkiewicz called Parisian White. There aren't really any details on the content of the book, but apparently it came about thanks to a misunderstanding between the two comics superstars.
"I ran into Kelly Sue and she asked me if I wanted to do some Parisian White," Sienkiewicz explained at the panel. "You know, I'm down for anything. You've seen my art right? I said, what are we smoking this? Are we snorting it? Let's go!"
As it turns out, DeConnick wasn't talking about a new designer drug, but a comic book collaboration.
"Yeah, I do that too," said Sienkiewicz, a little disappointed. "I was really hoping to get ripped, but I just read an article in Vanity Fair this morning calling her 'terrifying,' so I didn't want to mess with her."
Sienkiewicz also called the book the most exciting thing he's done since Elektra: Assassin. "Not counting that time me and Gibbons picked up a sheet of acid and drove across the country," he admitted.
We'll update you with more news on this when it becomes available.
