SDCC: Joss Whedon Returns To Comics

Whedon's new title is set to be loved by everyone and cancelled after two seasons.

It was announced at a Whedon-centric Dark Horse Panel today that the lispy ginger will return to comics with a Steampunk-esque tale entitled Twist. The story, which will begin as a six part mini-series, promises to be too feminist for some and not feminist enough for others.

Whedon made the announcement himself at San Diego Comic Con but was vague on details. There is no artist attached to the title yet, though a promotional image was drawn by Julian Totino Tedesco for the announcement. The director/writer did however release a statement to Entertainment Weekly through Dark Horse:

It's a Victorian thriller about a meek chambermaid who is fed to a dark horror — but instead of dying, she returns, with knowledge, power, and rage she can neither deny nor control[.]

There is no release date at this time.
