SDCC: News from Nickelodeon's 'TMNT' Panel

So just what are our heroes in the half shell doing in Season 4? Why, they're going IN SPAAAAACE!!!!!!

Alright, this reporter is back from G-Fest (aka the other great convention going on this weekend that centers on EVERYTHING Kaiju related) and can start posting whatever SDCC news on cartoons that's been missed so far. I'll start with Nickelodeon's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cartoon, which is about to hit it's FIFTH season (though given how out of order they've been playing the third, this does feel like a fifth season given how slow it's been and much story has been crammed into it).

Anyway, as teased via the exclusive figure, the Turtles are going INTO SPACE in the fifth season where they'll be meeting some familiar faces. First off, the villain for the season will be Dregg. Yes, to those who are fans of the 80s cartoon, the villain who ended the series is, perhaps fittingly, coming on board as the big bad for Season 5. He'll be voiced by Satan himself Peter Stormare (The Blacklist, Arrow).

On the opposite side, The Fugitoid will be debuting in Season 5 as well, voiced by none other than David Tennant (seriously if you don't know who that is by now shame on you!)

Another character who'll be appearing throughout Season 5 will be Armaggon (a character introduced in the Archie Comics and making his featured animated debut), and he'll be voiced by Ron Perlman.

Likewise, you can't have a Fugitoid arc without Triceratons and one, Zog will be voiced by Lance Henriksen and the other, Captain, by Michael Dorn.

Filling out the season 5 characters is... Mona Lisa?! Okay, that's an interesting pick, and she'll be voiced by Zelda Williams.

As for any remaining details on Season 4, new episodes will begin again on August 2nd.
