Guess they don't need to call the X-Men or FF this time…

Europe's Gamescom has begun and it seems it brings some Lego Marvel's Avengers news. The game itself was announced last E3, as sort of a follow-up to 2013'sLego Marvel Super Heroes game, this time focusing on the Avengers and Avengers: Age of Ultron movies. At its introduction, press cited the game will arrive Fall 2015, but now the official release date has been announced, a bit later (the announcement video states Winter but that may have been updated).

Lego Marvel's Avengers will be arriving in the US on January 26, 2016 and in Europe on January 29, 2016. That's still Winter but many expected it to be a 2015 title, some sites citing expecting the title in Fall/Autumn (keep in mind that there's another bigger Lego game/product coming out this September). The WB/Traveller's Tales game will be available for Playstation 4, Playstation 3, Playstation Vita, Xbox One, Xbox 360, Wii U, Nintendo 3DS, and Windows PC. If you pre-order from GameStop in the US (and a yet to be revealed retailer in Europe), you can also get a free Lego Silver Centurion minifig.

Some new images of characters were also released for the game:
