NYCC: IDW Announces “ROM” and “Micronauts”

Because, with Secret Wars, He-Man, G.I Joe, Transformers, and My Little Pony we need more 1980’s properties.

Teased earlier at this year's Comic-Con International, IDW officially announced the creative teams behind their re-launced Rom and Micronauts. From CBR's coverage of NYCC because those fuckers and their hover boards and yachts get to go:

Writer Cullen Bunn and artist David Baldeon have been tapped to bring the world of the Micronauts to IDW, while Chris Ryall & Christos Gage will team with artists David Messina & Paolo Villanelli for the new adventures of Rom.

There is no more information available about these books other than a promotional image touting that these books would be published in 2016.

Even more cool, for those of us who are sick and tired about hearing how good ROM was but have never had the opportunity to read it:

Acquiring the rights to "Rom" has been a particular priority for IDW's Editor-in-Chief Chris Ryall for a number of years. Ryall's fandom of the space-faring robotic hero runs so deep, he commissioned a four-volume hardcover collection of the 75-issue Marvel Comics series "Rom: Spaceknight."

BOOSH!
