NYCC: Mean Kevin Feige to Cancel Inhumans Movie to Spite Ike Perlmutter According to Bleeding Cool Rumor

Media partners and Hollywood power couple Rich Johnston and Ike Perlmutter are spreading a new rumor on Johnston's website, Bleeding Cool. In the past few months on Bleeding Cool, we've learned that Perlmutter, who is just the sweetest guy who only wants what's best for Marvel, is the subject of a power play by Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige, who wants to control Marvel and doesn't want to listen to any of Ike's great ideas. The latest move by the evil Feige is, according to scuttlebutt Johnston claims to have heard at New York Comic Con, canceling The Inhumans movie that has been heavily built up to in Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., produced by Marvel's TV division, where Perlmutter is still in charge.

The rise of the Inhumans has been a longstanding goal of Perlmutter, who wants them to replace mutants as Marvel's preeminent superpowered beings that everyone hates and fears, because Fox owns the movie rights to the X-Men. However, if you're Kevin Feige, not only are you a gigantic doo doo head, but the enemy of your enemy is your friend, so Feige is willing to foil Perlmutter's plot to make people like The Inhumans by default if it means getting to stick it to poor Ike once again.

There's been no official confirmation from Marvel about this rumor, though, of course, revealing that their executives are engaged in a petty blood feud that could hamper the company's ability to make billions of dollars is not the sort of thing Marvel is in the habit of doing. Johnston is promoting the conflict between Perlmutter and Feige as a "war" within Marvel, in the same sense that Hearst promoted the conflict between America and Spain. It will be interesting to see how all this plays out, which The Outhouse can now exclusively reveal you will have a chance to do in next summer's blockbuster comics super-mega-crossover event: Secret Butthurt Billionaire War: A Marvel Comics Event in Eight Parts, Well, Maybe Nine.

At press time, Rich Johnston and Ike Perlmutter were spotted sitting in a tree, reportedly K-I-S-S-I-N-G, according to sources. Stay tuned, true believers. We'll keep you updated.
