New 'Friday the 13th: The Video Game' Hits the Right Names You Want to Hear

Hodder. Savini. Manfredini. All are apart of this Gun Media production for the first Friday the 13th Video Game since 1989!!!

Guess who has quite possibly a highly anticipated video game trailer? Here, let Momma Pamela Voorhees explain in this teaser trailer:

So Gun Media is making the first Friday the 13th game since freaking since 1989 (you know the game. You've probably played it or talked about it). Well, the group has a few special names tied to this game that any Friday the 13th fan or horror fan in general will salivate at.

Kane Hodder (Jason Voorhees from Friday the 13th Part VII thru Jason X aka the actor who's played the famous slasher the most) will be providing the motion capture for the game (so yes he's reprising his role as Jason once AGAIN), Tom Savini (special effects guru from the 1980 original and Friday the 13th Part IV: The Final Chapter) who'll be Executive Producer and in charge of cinematography for the game (also help with the kills and gore in the game), and Harry Manfredini (composer for Friday the 13th thru Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood and Jason Goes to Hell: The Final Friday to Jason X) will be composing the game.

Now here's the catch. If you want this game to happen. You have to support Gun Media's Kickstarter for the game (which began today and is already at over $178,000 and gunning for $700,000 for their expected goal).

So what is their grand dream if you donate? Why a 7 vs. 1 multiplayer game! Oh and that one player gets to play as Jason, while the other seven players are the hapless camp councilors who have to survive.  Supposedly the Jason player has numerous ways to kill his foes (but can he slap them in a sleeping bag and whack them against a tree to death I ask you?!), though this reporter is curious how the councilors can slay Jason himself (drown him? Blow him up? Drown him in toxic raw sewage?). Still, a stretch goal for the game is the ability to have Tommy Jarvis as your guide in the game (Now the question becomes do you want Corey Feldman, John Shepard, or Thom Mathews reprising their role of Jason's nemesis)?

We'll keep you updated on this situation and if the Kickstarter exceeds their original or stretch goals. Friday the 13th: The Game is slated to stalk and slash onto the PC, PS4 and Xbox One next fall.
