Industry legend and Moon Knight co-creator Don Perlin was recently placed in a rehabilitation facility following a surgery to stop bleeding in his head. The surgery was a success, but during it doctors found more bleeding which needed to be addressed. By the time everything was done, the doctors had removed a part of his skull the size of a credit card and replaced it with a titanium plate. Upon completion of the surgery Perlin was placed in a rehabilitation facility. Since entering this facility he has incurred fees which his insurance will not cover, and thus a GoFundMe page has been launched to help pay for his recovery.
On Friday, Valiant Comics CEO and Chief Creative Officer Dinesh Shamandasani tweeted that Valiant would send a Gold Logo book to anyone who donated $25+ to Don Perlin. Perlin spent a considerable amount of time pencilling now famous books for Valiant in the 90's.
The campaign has met its goal, but it is always possible that Perlin requires a longer stay than initially expected. The Outhouse reached out to Shamandasani who confirmed that the offer still stands for anyone wishing to support Don Perlin. If you would like to donate you may do so here. To receive a Gold Logo book from Valiant, donate $25+ and send a screenshot with your Twitter handle to Valiant Comics on Twitter. Then be on the lookout for a DM from Valiant asking for an address to which they can send the book.
