NBC To Officially Become Powerless

NBC takes a do-over with DC Comics shows.

Source: Deadline

As we previously reported, NBC is actually trying their hand again at a DC Comics adaptation, going forward with Powerless. Although, this one is a bit looser with the source material. What I mean is, there's none.

Powerless is a workplace comedy set at an insurance company, dealing with the lives of average people living in a super-powered world. A-Listers such as Batman and Wonder Woman won't be making an appearance, but hopefully we'll get glimpses of D-List talent such as Doll-Man, Danny The Street, and Arm-Fall-Off-Boy.

In the vein of, make that the entire mold of, The Office, Powerless is a half-hour single-camera sitcom. Powerless is showrun by Ben Queen, writer of Cars 2.

When reached for a quote about the similarities between The Office and Powerless, star of The Office Michael Scott said, "I'm glad they're taking the shot. You miss 100% of the shots you don't take. Wayne Gretzky."
