Unsurprisingly, Netflix has renewed Jessica Jones for a second season, the second of five Marvel shows planned, joining Daredevil for the renewal. The other upcoming shows include Luke Cage, Iron Fist, and The Defenders. Season two will be comprised for 13 episodes and has yet to announce an air date. Netflix's Chief Content Officer Ted Sarandos is unsure of the second season's release due to The Defenders. "The complex one is really running into The Defenders. The Defenders production schedule will determine the production schedule of second and third seasons. It's a work in progress."

A Daredevil spinoff series of The Punisher is also reportedly in development starring Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle. He'll make his Marvel debut March 18 with the return of Daredevil. Sarandos also claims that other various spinoffs are still on the table. "It's always possible," Sarandos said. "All the characters that spin out of that universe could also spin out. Any character who's in there is on the table but it's nothing I can talk about yet."
