One of the Biggest Franchises of All Time Needs Your Funding to Produce Overpriced Board Game

Only you can help IDW raise the $250,000 needed to charge $90 for a board game!

Source: Kickstarter

After seeing the success of Robert Kirkman's The Walking Dead in seeking crowdfunding on Kickstarter to produce an overpriced board game, IDW is throwing its shell in the ring with a Kickstarter to fund a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles board game with a base reward level of $80 (a discount of $10 from the retail price of the game)! Based on IDW's TMNT comics, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shadows of the Past is "a story-driven adventure game for two to five players who will duel it out street by street and mission by mission to save (or conquer) New York." The Walking Dead only has two TV shows, a comic book, video games, mobile apps, and merchandise, so obviously they needed to charge $125 for the game. TMNT, on the other hand, has a Nickelodeon cartoon, comics, a series of Michael Bay produced blockbuster films, merchandise, dozens of video games, and decades worth of toy lines, so they were able to pass some savings down the user and charge just eight times the price of Monopoly. However, while the Walking Dead game was seeking $50,000 in funding and has already raised $218,000, TMNT is looking for $250,000 to produce this game.

IDW still has almost $150,000 to go to make this dream a reality, so please, if you can help out in any way, consider donating to this clearly worthy cause!
