As we reported earlier, NBC's Powerless has cast Vanessa Hudgens in the lead role. Joining her in the soon-to-be-cancelled-after-the-first-season sitcom are Danny Pudi, best known for Community, and Alan Tudyk, best known for Firefly, both shows known for being huge ratings hits. Also joining the cast is Christina Kirk, known for shows that geeks won't recognize such as A to Z and Manhattan.
Pudi will play Teddy, best friend and co-worker to Hudgen's Emily. He spends his days creating time-wasting pranks as a way to make their office, the "least Super place on earth," just a little less "unsuper."
Tudyk will play Del, Emily and Teddy's boss at the insurance company. Del has just been promoted — not through any merit of his own, but because he's the owner's son. A self-proclaimed "rich, over-educated globetrotting wastrel," Del is a power-mad disastrous dictator of a boss.
Kirk is set for the role of Jackie, a massive superhero fan who works as Del's assistant.
We've previously covered Powerless here and here. Powerless is a workplace comedy set at an insurance company, dealing with the lives of average people living in a super-powered world. A-Listers such as Superman and Aquaman won't be making an appearance, but hopefully we'll get glimpses of D-List talent such as Calamity King, Goldstar, and Molecule.
