'Flashpoint' Comes To The CW

Yep, and we all saw it coming!

When season 2 of "The Flash" ended we saw Barry go back in time to save his mother from being killed by the Reverse Flash. Many viewers and fans theorized that this would create a Flashpoint Universe just as it did in the DCU in 2011. And it seems we were right. Grant Gustin tweeted this earlier today:

Gustin also said that he's read the comic book version and that he's seen the animated movie. They will most likely be using elements of both but Gustin claims that this will be their own version of it.

It's also possible that this is how "Supergirl" will be brought into the CW-verse. As we saw in the Supergirl/Flash cross-over earlier this year, Supergirl was stated as being on an alternate Earth. Once Barry restores the timeline, or attempts to, "Supergirl" could then be a permanent part of the regular CW Universe

How bad will Barry screw up the timeline this time?  We'll find out on Tuesday, October 4 when season 3 of "The Flash" premiers and the CW world goes to hell.

About the Author - IvCNuB4

IvCNuB4 likes to maintain an air of mystery by never publicly revealing his true name unless you are one of the four lucky Outhouse posters he has PM'd it to. A life-long Chicago native, he was introduced to comics by his older brother's vast collection of Silver Age issues. When he is not at his day job as an IT geek or making the most of Chicago's three months of incredible summer, he can found spending way too much time with his very large, very loud Italian family. You will never find him on the likes of Facebook or Twitter as he scoffs at the necessity of most forms of social media.
