This past weekend it was announced by Activision that Marvel Ultimate Alliance, and its sequel Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 would be coming back in "remastered" versions for PS4, X-Box One, and PC. Well, it seems those who got the PC versions were basically fucked over in the release.
Anyone who bought the games on Steam ($40 each or $60 for both. To note MUA came out in 2006. So yeah a ten-year old game on the PC is being asked for $40. What the fuck Activision?!). Oh, the original also has 0 DLC content (aka the X-Box 360 goodies), while the sequel does (again WHAT THE FUCK Activision?!). Obviously, gamers on Steam have been steamed over how they have been fucked by not only the price-point, but also the reportedly horrendous controls, various glitches, and audio issues.
If you head over to the Steam page for both games (here's the reviews for MUA and here's the reviews for MUA 2) you'll find them littered with reviews bashing the games for said issues and the outrageous price. Some have even proclaimed that the ports are quite possibly the worst PC port of the year.
Thankfully, this helps me greatly because I loved playing the two games at my friend's house. So this so saves me any sort of money that I was thinking of possibly spending on acquiring these games (because the ability to play as Dr. Doom, Captain America, Ghost Rider, and Magneto side-by-side is a glorious sight to behold). Hopefully, this bit of news will make sure you the readers avoid these two games from the PC like a plague until they are properly fixed (they probably won't be, but miracles could happen).
