It's Not a Dream! 'Phantasm: Remastered' and 'Phantasm: Ravager' to get Theatrical Runs!

BBBOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOYYYYYY do I have some news about Phantasm Franchise!

Source: Phantasm: Remastered and Phantasm: Ravager flying into cinemas this fall

That's right booooooooooy, Phantasm (1979) is coming back to theaters! We already knew that the horror movie that spawned a glorious franchise was getting a restoration headed by Don Coscarelli and Bad Robot (yes that production company that's run by J.J. Abrams). Thanks to Entertainment Weekly we now know, on Sept. 24 the movie will be on screens yet again (though  it will be shown NEXT WEEK August 5th and 6th at the Carmike Muvico Rosemont 18 in Rosemont, IL for Flashback WeekendOh and Don Coscarelli himself will introduce it and there will be an extended trailer for Phantasm V: Ravager).

Speaking of Phantasm V: Ravager, that too will be released in theaters!!! On Oct. 7 it will be released in theaters and Digital HD!!! Also Phantasm III: Lord of the Dead and Phantasm IV: Oblivion will also be released on Digital HD!! Are you Phantasmed out yet? Of course not! Phantasm II (though not confirmed given that Shout! Factory might be the ones who own the distribution rights to it. Least that's what I'm betting on given well you know. I own the bloody Blu-Ray of it).

With all this distribution of all these Phantasm movies you know what's coming next (again teased by EW those cheeky bastards): they will be released on DVD and Blu-Ray both indivdually and a BOX SET (please let it be a sphere.. PLEASE LET IT BE A SPHERE!)!!!!

Now knowing all this glorious Phantasm news enjoy the rest of your night...
