Superstar artist Rob Liefeld opened up the YouTube show Nerdy Pop today by announcing the return of Youngblood, the X-Force ripoff Liefeld created back in the nineties when all of the Image founders left Marvel to create ripoffs of the books they were drawing at Marvel. After only two and a half minutes of bragging about himself and how he started Image, Liefeld seemed about to delve into the news, but immediately became distracted again by talking about his upcoming comic with Chris Sims and Chad Bowers, Deadpool: Bad Blood Feat. Kendrick Lamar.
Finally, at around the four minute mark, Liefeld began talking about Youngblood fan and artist, Jim Towe, who sent Liefeld some drawings of Youngblood, prompting Liefeld to hire him to revamp the book with Bowers writing. Liefeld revealed that Image will not allow him to announce a project without having three issues in the can,* so the book may never actually materialize, but Liefeld claims it will be out in April. The show ended with the host giving away a Cable sketch drawn by Liefeld himself (no feet, natch).
Check out the video if you want to see Rob Liefeld acting and speaking exactly like you imagine Rob Liefeld would act and speak in real life, except with considerably less dialog from the movie "Dude, Where's My Car?"
* Liefeld says that's Image's rule for everyone, but we bet a billion dollars they just say that to Rob
