Via a tweet from Marvel Digital Media Executive Ryan Penagos, Marvel Comics has released a teaser for a new series coming in 2017. Featuring only the names of the creative team - Steve McNiven and Cullen Bunn - and a single phrase: MU - the teaser gives little hint as to what Marvel has planned. Luckily, The Outhouse's team of crack researchers have discovered that "Mu" is the way "Moo" is spelled in Wundagore, indicating that Marvel is planning a Bova ongoing series from Bunn and McNiven in 2017.
This isn't the first time Marvel has tried to make Bova a major part of the modern Marvel Universe. Bova was heavily featured in the teaser campaign for Civil War 2, and during the company's AXIS super-mega-crossover event, Marvel originally considered the idea of making Bova the mother of Quicksilver and the Scarlet Witch in a shocking retcon as part of their Magneto: Cow Fucker storyline. However, the company decided at the last minute to change the not-mutants' parentage altogether, though some unreleased art from the comic did later surface on the internet.
No other details are known about the series, but Marvel reportedly has a team of interns shooting Steve McNiven up with adderall in an attempt to get him to produce a single panel of artwork before a planned September 1st press conference. We'll have a reported live onsite, and update you when we know more.
