R.I.P. C. Martin Croker 1962-2016

The voice actor (Space Ghost Coast to Coast, the Brak Show, Aqua Teen Hunger Force, and Toonami) and animator has passed away at the age of 54.

BEHOLD-- my tears when learning about this.

You may not know the name, but you've definitely have heard the voice of C. Martin Croker. A regular of original programming on Adult Swim, before there was even one. He voiced Moltar and Zorak on Space Ghost: Coast to Coast since 1994 to just last year. By that extension, he was also the original host of Toonami (as Moltar) and Cartoon Planet (as Zorak). If that wasn't enough, Croker voiced Dr. Weird and his aide Steve on Aqua Teen Hunger Force

So yes, to any fan of these shows, this is truly a gut punch. It is for me more than the usual, given: A.) every day in 1997 to 1999 I'd come home from an exhausting day to get sweet relief via Toonami, and B.) I had met the man just two months ago at G-Fest, and now sorely regretting a few things now, but that's life sadly.

Though voice acting was just one talent that Croker had, he was also the primary animator for Space Ghost: Coast to Coast and a animation director for Cartoon Planet. The man was truly multi talented in the industry that he loved.

Croker passed away at the age of 54, and at this moment the cause of death hasn't been disclosed. But that doesn't matter for us. What does is that a man who probably meant a lot to us via his voice acting and gave us laughter that we sorely needed at times. Thank you so much Mr. Croker for the laughs you gave us. Our sympathies go out to your friends and family in dealing with this tragic loss.
