'Justice League: Action' Release Date FINALLY ANNOUNCED!!

Cartoon Network has FINALLY announced the date and it's tomorrow! Nah, it would be like them wouldn't it? It's December 16th.

Source: Justice League Action Premiere Date Revealed

It took them long enough, but we're FINALLY going to see Justice League: Action. We've had clips. We know the premiere was coming. Many thought it would be this month, but nope it wasn't.

The official release (via will be on Friday, December 16, 2016 at 6 p.m. ET/PT! The very first episode will be called "Captain Marvel Shazam Slam" and given his name is in the title Captain Marvel Shazam will be heavily featured in the episode with him taking on his nemesis The Rock Black Adam.

No word if the first episode will be like the others with a ten minute running time. We do know is that Justice League: Action will air regularly Saturday morning starting December 24th (oh dear God I'm already having bad flashbacks to Beware the Batman, Young Justice, and Green Lantern: The Animated Series. Eh let's just face it. DC Nation as a whole died on that block). Hopefully this program beats the horrible fates that befall all but two of them (given one is back among the living).

Here's the synopsis for the first episode:

In "Shazam Slam," the villainous Black Adam battles Batman on the Rock of Eternity and unleashes a horde of Djinn determined to turn the Earth back to its pre-human, volcanic state. Affected by the otherworldly powers of these primordial monsters, Batman becomes possessed and is turned into a giant flying Batmonster laying waste to the Hall of Justice, with only Superman capable of taking the fight to the Dark Knight. One by one, the Justice League - with the help of Shazam (voiced by Sean Astin) and The Wizard (voiced by Carl Reiner) - must hunt down and defeat each Djinn in order to yet again save the world from destruction.

And if that wasn't enough a clip from the episode too:

Justice League: Action will be a ten minute format show, but unlike the other demonic hellspawn that also does this (that'll be airing for 72 hours straight this weekend! Dear God Cartoon Network, and that is truly nasty), Justice League: Action focuses a lot on the um.. action.
