Fantastic Fourless & Mutantless 'Marvel vs. Capcom 4' in Development?!

Because if there's one thing we'll enjoy is seeing the continued bias of Fantastic Four and X-Men characters in Marvel's multimedia properties.

I guess if everyone else is jumping on the rumor mill, we will too! Supposedly, if we're to believe Polygon for this scoop, Marvel vs. Capcom 4 is in the works for a 2017 release and will be revealed at the Playstation Experience.

But.. there's a price to be paid for this installment. The Marvel characters involved will be based on their "movie" counterparts not their comic ones. So no X-Men and more tragically.. no Dr. Doom (because Fantastic Four rights).  Which goes again the grand fun equation of Marvel which is:

answer

Of course we'll have Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, Spider-Man, War Machine, Hulk, Rocket Raccoon, Dr. Strange, and.. damn that blows since then everyone would have to be an entire new character then. No more spamming with Wolverine, Deadpool, X-23, Magneto, or DOOM.

The move, while it speaks on how badly run by Marvel is, destroys what started this fighting craze over at Capcom. You know? X-Men: Children of the Atom. What are we going to treat that game as the black sheep because it was an X-Men game Marvel?

This wouldn't be the first time Marvel and Capcom though sparked renewed interest in one another. In 2011, we got Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds and later that year Ultimate version of the game with more characters (cause that's what the video game industry does now) after a lengthy hiatus when Marvel vs. Capcom 2: New Age of Heroes was released (2000).

When asked about the rumor a representative at Capcom said: "Capcom does not comment on rumors or speculation." If there is truth to any of these rumors, we'll let you know. Until then, we'll get heavily depressed at the lack of X-Men and Doom along with the possibility that somehow Marvel will instead shove Inhumans down our throats and into this property somehow.
