Apparently Sony had a presentation at Brazil's Comic-Con Experience (CCXP) and Marvel's Ryan Penagos (aka. Agent M) was there to witness it. During the presentation , some new footage from the upcoming Spider-Man: Homecoming movie was shown. It was short, but revealed something new about Spidey in his next solo movie:
The Spider-Man Homecoming footage was short but AWESOME. Starts from Spidey's POV, talking with Happy Hogan (Jon Favreau) 1/? #ccxp2016— Ryan Penagos (@AgentM) December 2, 2016
There's a case from Tony Stark with an "upgrade" for Spidey. Then we see Spidey leap off a building, open his arms, web wings! #ccxp2016 2/?— Ryan Penagos (@AgentM) December 2, 2016
There were a few more flashes of shots, but I can't remember. That classic underarm webbing look was just so rad. #ccxp2016 3/?— Ryan Penagos (@AgentM) December 2, 2016
So it looks like Tony Stark/Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) will be upgrading Peter Parker's (Tom Holland) costume again with something akin to what Spider-Man had in the comics since he first appeared in Amazing Fantasy #15, his web-pits.
Does Parker invent anything besides his webbing? Hmmm. Appears the Vulture (Michael Keaton) won't be the only character in the movie with wings.
Spider-Man: Homecoming glides into theaters July 7, 2017.
