A creator-owned book month after month?
Image Comics series are known for their quality, not necessarily their timeliness. Ody-C, for example, released 12 issues in 23 months. Similarly, Bitch Planet released 9 issues in 23 months. Now, Greg Rucka is breaking new ground at Image with Black Magick, a critically-acclaimed comics series from Rucka and Nicola Scott about a detective, who is also a witch. Thrilling stuff.
Black Magick was supposed to return in April, but Rucka and Scott, who are also working on Wonder Woman together, pushed the release back so that the second arc of the series will come out monthly, a first in comics. Mazel tov, Greg and Nicola. Hopefully more teams follow your lead.
