Each Marvel comic currently includes a code for a digital copy of the same issue, but not anymore. Starting next month, that code will now unlock two different digital comics, offering more value per dollar spent. Because comics is a business, not art, you dummy.

"One of the free bonus digital comics offered in February will be 'Civil War II' #0 in time to promote the 'Civil War II' collection on sale that month," said sales director Jim Nausedas.

Civil War II, most maddening moment of 2016, is the perfect issue to launch their new initiative with. Each week the free comics will change, creating repeat consumers and increasing revenue, expanding marketshare and appeasing shareholders.
