Although, they'll continue to have to wait for The Winds Of Winter.

While there's still no set release date for the upcoming The Winds Of Winter, the sixth book in the A Song Of Ice And Fire series, writer George R. R. Martin will be releasing a new short story in the fantasy anthology Book Of Swords. In sticking with tradition, the book isn't going to be released until October.

Book Of Swords is a collection of "fifteen original tales celebrating fantasy's golden age of sword and sorcery," including one set in the A Song Of Ice And Fire universe. As Martin fans continue to await a proper book, his inclusion means the anthology will sell thousands of copies, instead of the 25 copies it would've sold without him to the other writers' parents.
