The band, which saw its first major label success in 1992 before its tumultuous breakup in 1996, is reuniting for the first time at Emerald City Comic Con. All the original founding members, Todd McFarlane, Jim Valentino, Erik Larsen, Rob Liefeld, Marc Silvestri, and Whilce Portacio will appear except for Jim Lee, the cause of the 1996 breakup.
The founders will speak at a panel on Friday, March 3rd from 1:00–2:30 PM, moderated by replacement singer Robert Kirkman, whom the band found on YouTube.
After the panel will be a merchandise signing in the Grand Ballroom at the Sheraton Hotel from 3:00–4:30 PM. ECCC will coordinate a 'lottery system' where badge-holding fans will submit their names and a lucky 300 fans will win a limited edition poster and admission to have it signed by the founders. Lottery applications are open on the Emerald City Comicon website until February 21.
This is a can't miss opportunity for Image fans.
