'Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice' At Last Wins Prestigious Awards-- The Razzie Awards!

The movie won Worst Screenplay, Worst Supporting Actor, Worst Sequel: Remake or Prequel, and Worst Combo.

Given that Academy Awards are tomorrow, the Razzie Awards were given out today to the worst films in 2016. And the big winner loser this year? Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice. The film picked up five awards for Worst Screenplay, Worst Support Actor (Jesse Eisenberg's Lex Luthor), Worst Sequel, Remake, or Prequel, Worst Combo (Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill), and tied for most wins (4) with the "other" movie that should have won more.

What movie did it tie and should have won more with you ask? Hillary's America: The Secret History of the Democratic Party, a "documentary" that exposes "the sordid truth" of said political party. That "movie" won four awards: Dinesh D'Souza (Worst Actor/Director), Bruce Schooley (Worst Director), ?? as Hilary Clinton (Worst Actress), and Worst Motion Picture.

Also if we're going with actual worst comic book movies I personally consider Sucide Squad and even if it was better TMNT: Out of the Shadows far worst movies (though easily for me the worst actual comic movies and literally movies I saw were DC's animated fare this year in Batman: Bad Blood and Batman: The Killing Joke, which the later did technically get a theatrical release for two nights). Not to mention, the movie beat Gods of Egypt and ID4: Resurgence (again, movies that are far worse than BvS). Heck, Zoolander 2 or Alice Though The Looking Glass made me feel absolutely more miserable as far good original movies went. Batman vs. Superman In that regard, I do think Razzies went with the "easy" target, which to be fair it has done a lot in the past.

Batman vs. Superman came after a movie I truly hated. Yes, the movie did have flaws, but I overall enjoyed it. Hate me if you want, but that's my opinion. I do think Razzies went with the "easy" target, which to be fair it has done a lot in the past. Just that 2016 had so many movies that deserved to be recognized as truly awful compared to just Batman vs. Superman. Then again, one member of the OH! staff, Ali Jaffery, hasn't been seen since his 11th straight viewing of the movie. If a movie was able to do that to a person, maybe it did deserve this?

Here's the remaining "winners" of the Razzies:

Worst Supporting Actress: Kristen Wiig – Zoolander 2

The Razzies Redeemer Award: Mel Gibson – Hacksaw Ridge
