We all need more Godzilla in our lives. For Godzilla brings us many thing. Joy, fear, and awe. For Godzilla is the god that keeps on giving to us lowly folk. Thankfully, Netflix agrees as they've nabbed the rights to air the first Japanese anime movie of filmdom's most famous kaiju (suck it Kong) later this year.
The animated feature will be a joint venture between Toho and Polygon Pictures. The pair spared no expense having anime veterans at the helm of this movie: Kobun Shizuno and Hiroyuki Seshita directing the film, with Gen Urobuchi writing.
Though the movie is out later this year, all we really have on the animated movie is just a few pieces of art posted here and there (like the one above). Not too long ago, there was a rumored leak of Godzilla's look in the film being revealed, but that has since been revealed to be a fake. But if any additional information is revealed, we'll let you know. Until then, know that later this year we shall have more Godzilla and be bask in the superiority the true King has over his lesser simian rival.
