Black Panther star Daniel Kaluuya, who plays W'Kabi, gave an interview with GQ in which he compares the film to HBO's Game Of Thrones.
"This is an African blockbuster, bruv. This is like Game of Thrones. This is crazy."
Kaluuya didn't elaborate on how the two compare, but one can only assume it's because they both feature sprawling, lush scenery, a talented cast, and a penchant for incest.
In the same breath, he mentioned just how cool and down to earth the director, Ryan Coogler, is.
"And Ryan Coogler is just, man dem. He's like us! He's a normal dude, in a Golden State hat and a Tupac T-shirt directing the whole set. It's the most beautiful thing to see."
Black Panther is directed by Coogler and stars Chadwick Boseman as Black Panther, Michael B. Jordan as Erik Killmonger, Lupita Nyong'o as Nakia, Kaluuya as W'Kabi, Angela Bassett as Ramonda, Martin Freeman as Everett K. Ross, and Forest Whitaker as Zuri. It's set to be released February 16, 2018.
