Ken Watanabe in Talks to Watch Them Fight Again in 'Godzilla: King of the Monsters'!!

Watanabe is in talks to be the second actor to his role from the 2014 film, Also O’Shea Jackson Jr.has gotten a role in the film too!

Casting for Godzilla: King the Monsters continues to ramp up as Variety reports of two members being eyed for the cast. One of whom will be the second actor to reprise his role from the 2014 original (the star of the movie, Godzilla has already signed on a multi-picture deal that will extend to 2020's Godzilla vs. "King" Kong). The best human actor remaining from the cast (since Bryan Cranston's character died as the first act ended to the scorn of many of audiences), Ken Watanabe (Dr. Ishiro Serizawa). No word yet, if Serizawa's Monarch sidekick, Dr. Vivienne Graham (played by Sally Hawkins) will also return.

Sadly, this means that Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Elizabeth Olsen's incestuous couple will not be back (given they played brother/sister duo of Quicksilver and the Scarlet Witch in Avengers: Age of Ultron the following year). Truly this is a devasting blow to incest lovers everywhere who kept thinking of the two as such when watching the movie and then Marvel one.

In other news of rounding out the cast Variety also reports that O'Shea Jackson Jr. is in talks for a role in the movie as well (probably to fill the void and actually play a soldier with charisma compared to Taylor-Johnson's wooden performance).

With Watanabe possibly returning means another thing too. That he can once again deliver the best human line of all kaiju films so far in this modern era:

Godzilla: King of the Monsters will begin its glorious reign in theaters March 22, 2019.
