When the My Little Pony: The Movie logo was revealed, Ace Outhouse cartoon reporter, and #1 staff Brony, Zechs was a bit shaken up. Gone was the subtitle "Friendship is Magic" that separated the more recent incarnation from their obviously inferior previous versions. After all, there was a movie of the same name put out in 1986, and he is loathe to associate himself with anything previous to the 4th generation of magical ponies.
He's over the title issue now. However, the Outhouse cartoon department faces another crisis. Our Ace reporter has again locked himself in the bullpen viewing room, but this time he has a new video on loop (hey man, it's his shift right now!). Yes, the My Little Pony: The Movie "announcement" trailer has arrived, and he just can't get enough.
Here's the magic that he is watching (over and over again):
The official synopsis for the movie is as follows:
A new dark force threatens Ponyville, and the Mane 6 – Twilight Sparkle, Applejack, Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy, and Rarity – embark on an unforgettable journey beyond Equestria where they meet new friends and exciting challenges on a quest to use the magic of friendship and save their home.
Here's the poster for the movie:
My Little Pony: The Movie struts into theaters theaters October 6.
In the meantime, we've got to try to change the locks on the Outhouse viewing room door before April 15, when My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic season 7 lands on Discovery Family.
