SPOILERS AHEAD folks so turn back now if you haven't seen all of Season 2 yet.

The new season of SyFy's "12 Monkeys" returns next month. Instead of a traditional weekly episode order this season takes a different turn as it will be a weekend-long event in May. Four episodes will air on Friday May 19, with three episodes airing each on Saturday and Sunday, May 21.  Two new additions to the cast are Hannah Waddingham ("Game of Thrones") and Faran Tahir ("Iron Man", "Star Trek"). Waddingham plays the role of Magdalena, a member of an apocalyptic cult who protects the Witness, who we discovered in the Season 2 finale is Cole and Cassie's future son. Tahir will portray a resident of Titan, an enforcer for the Army of the 12 Monkeys.  Other guests this season include Christopher Lloyd and James Callis ("Battlestar Galactica").

SyFy's synopsis for Season 3 says:

James Cole and Cassandra Railly embark on a desperate search across time to find the man responsible for the apocalypse, a time traveler who calls himself the Witness. Killing the Witness will mean saving the world. But the journey will come at tremendous personal stakes for both Cole and Railly and will call into question new alliances, old bonds, and the virtue of the mission itself.

Take a look at the trailer.

Starring Aaron Stanford ("Cole"), Amanda Schull ("Cassie"), Barbara Sukowa ("Jones") and Emily Hampshire (crazy-as-fuck "Jennifer Goines"),  the 10-episode marathon kicks off on FridayMay 19. Check local listings for exact times.

IvCNuB4 likes to maintain an air of mystery by never publicly revealing his true name unless you are one of the four lucky Outhouse posters he has PM'd it to. A life-long Chicago native, he was introduced to comics by his older brother's vast collection of Silver Age issues. When he is not at his day job as an IT geek or making the most of Chicago's three months of incredible summer, he can found spending way too much time with his very large, very loud Italian family. You will never find him on the likes of Facebook or Twitter as he scoffs at the necessity of most forms of social media.
