U.S. Immigration And Customs Enforcement Celebrated #NationalSuperHeroDay

Villains are the new heroes lately.

Friday was National Superhero Day, thanks to whoever decides those things. When you think superheroes you probably think Superman, Spider-Man, or Invincible. The U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency wanted to remind the American people that superheroes don't always wear capes. Sometimes they wear blue and promote xenophobia, apparently.

While ICE can benefit the U.S. through identifying sex trafficking, involuntary servitude, and labor trafficking, lately they've been breaking apart families and supporting an Executive Order banning immigrants from Muslim-majority countries. Unsurprisingly, the tweet got negative reactions.

This response reminded me of my favorite scene from Superman 2.

Is fiction becoming reality or is reality paralleling fiction?
