The Eisner Award nominees were announced Tuesday and notably absent was The Outhouse for Best Comics-Related Periodical/Journalism. Also notably absent was Love Is Love for Best Anthology, which should've got the nomination according to IDW Publishing PR Manager Steven Scott.
Shocked and disappointed at the Eisner snub for Love is Love. Can't think of a more deserving title. A lot of hard work gone unrecognized

This tweet was reposted to Facebook, where Eisner Award administrator Jackie Estrada explained why the book wasn't nominated.
Jackie stated that the Eisners go off Amazon listings to consider nominations, which explains why The Outhouse wasn't nominated for Best Comics-Related Periodical/Journalism as we're not listed on Amazon.
Then Steven gave Jackie a virtual swirlie by pointing out that the book was officially released on December 28.
Lo and behold, that's all it took to get nominated.
Just got the news that Love Is Love is officially nominated for an Eisner! Best news all day. Glad this could be resolved

The lesson to be learned here? Cause a public outrage until the Eisner Awards take notice. Consider that lesson learned for next year.
