Marvel has been knee-deep in PR spin for the last month due to cooking up a steaming turd sandwich, which must look delicious because DC has decided it wants a bite of that too. In Nightwing: The New Order, the titular character will command an army tasked with hunting down the last of the remaining superheroes. Here's the official synopsis.
NIGHTWING: THE NEW ORDER is the story of a future world without "weapons"—where superpowers have been eliminated and outlawed. The man responsible? None other than Dick Grayson, a.k.a. Nightwing, now leader of a government task force called the Crusaders who are charged with hunting the remaining Supers. But when events transpire which turn the Crusaders' aim toward Grayson's own family, the former Boy Wonder must turn against the very system he helped create, with help from the very people he's been hunting for years—the last metahumans of the DC Universe.
Nightwing: The New Order is written by Kyle Higgins and drawn by Trevor McCarthy. There is no clarification that this series is an Elseworlds story set outside of the main universe in Screen Rant's exclusive reveal, despite other comics sites reporting it, but the series opens with Nightwing critically maiming Superman 12 years before the main events of the book, so it more than likely isn't canonical.
Unlike events by their competition, it's been revealed that Dick Grayson will realize that being a fascist isn't all skinheads and rainbows.
Nightwing: The New Order is set to release in August.

UPDATE:5/10/17 Writer Kyle Higgins confirms the series isn't canon.
No, it's not regular DC cannon https://t.co/TNAUGOwAvi— Kyle Higgins (@KyleDHiggins) May 9, 2017
Or he's just confirming it doesn't shoot cannonballs.
