'The Legend Of Zelda' Coming To Smartphones?

According to The Wall Street Journal it is.

Source: Wall Street Journal: Nintendo developing The Legend of Zelda game for smartphones

Back in 2015 Nintendo  announced that they would be teaming up with DeNA to produce games for mobile devices. The first product from this partnership wasn't really a game at all, but a social app named Miitomo. The first actual game from the partnership was based on Nintendo's flagship character Mario, titled Super Mario Run. Since then, they've released a game based on their fantasy strategy game series Fire Emblem called Fire Emblem Heroes and have announced their next game will be based on their chore simulation game, Animal Crossing and will be out by the end of this fiscal year (early 2018).

So that's three of the five promised games from Nintendo's initial announcement. What's next? Well if The Wall Street Journal is correct, the next game for mobile devices will be related to their famous Legend of Zelda game series.

No real details of of the game has been released, so we don't know if it will be based on a previously released title or something new. We also don't know what format the game will take (Super Mario Run was a platformer, while Fire Emblem Heroes was a strategy/gatcha game). Nintendo has not confirmed this news, so for now it is just a rumor.

Another rumor: there may be another Pokémon mobile game on the way as well (the in/famous Pokémon Go smartphone game was not part of the DeNA partnership)…

Would you play Legend of Zelda on your smartphone? What type of game would you like it to be?
