Ant-Man and the Wasp will fly into theaters in 2018, but so far little is known about the sequel to 2015's Ant-Man. While we do know several of the actors from the original film will be returning, including leads Paul Rudd (Ant-Man/Scott Lang), Evangeline Lilly (Hope Pym/Wasp), and Michael Douglas (Hank Pym) no new cast members have been announced. Well, until today that is.
Hannah John-Kamen, a British actress, is being reported as landing a "key role" in the upcoming film. John-Kamen is mostly known for her roles in television, appearing in such shows as Black Mirror, Game of Thrones (because all newer Marvel hires need to have appeared on that show), and a lead role in Killjoys. She did appear in Star Wars: The Force Awakens as a First Order Officer, and is set to appear in the genre films Tomb Raider and Ready Player One. The character she will be playing in Ant-Man and the Wasp hasn't been identified yet, and it's unclear if it will have roots in the Marvel comics universe, but feel free to speculate.
Ant-Man director Payton Reed will also return to direct the sequel which will infest theaters July 6, 2018. Hopefully we learn more about John-Kamen's character before then.
