Actress Who Should Be Jean Grey To Not Be Jean Grey In Best Jean Grey Story

X-Men to chase that Guardians Of The Galaxy money into space.

No longer content to have a single red-headed actress in their films, Fox is embracing diversity and is in negotiations with Jessica Chastain to star as the villain, Lilandra, in the upcoming X-Men: Dark Phoenix, as being reported by The Hollywood Reporter. This seemingly confirms that Fox is after some of that Guardians of the Galaxy money and plan to take the merry mutants into outer space. Sophie Turner will be back in her role as Jean Grey, and starring alongside the actress that many fans believe would've been a better Jean.

For those of you who don't know Lilandra is traditionally an ally of the X-Men, and is in an on-again/off-again relationship with Professor X. She's the empress of the intergalactic Shi'ar Empire and sister of D'Ken, the traditional villain of The Dark Phoenix Saga.

As of this reporting, the internet has yet to start handing out torches and pitch forks over the changes. Fox confirmed that producer Simon Kinberg would be writing and making his directorial debut with X-Men: Dark Phoenix. It was also announced that James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Nicholas Hoult, and Jennifer Lawrence would be returning to the franchise. No word yet on what type of phone Lawrence will be using to call in her performance.
