With only a week left before Spider-Man Homecoming arrives in theaters, Sony the company that their third attempt at a Spider-Man franchise in the last ten years (with a timely assist this time from Disney) realized that they had no exclusive IMAX poster that most movies nowadays have. To correct this the movie's producer Amy Pascal made one of her longtime interns one Vlad Kozinkerov, to fix this error in a single night. "Amy tells Vlad. 'Vlad we need poster. We need poster for more money. Money means more bad films for us to make.' So Vlad goes to Walgreens. He uses twenty dollars Amy gives him. Vlad buys some old People Magazines, free maps of Queens, free paper bags for the poster, the finest My Little Pony children scissors they have for two dollars, some markers, and Elmer's Glue. Vlad saved himself five dollars and Amy was proud of Vlad."
Mr. Kozinkerov then revealed the original poster which took him a mere four hours to make:
A joyous Pascal loved the poster and will go to fund the next Sony venture, a Spider-Man spinoff movie that'll focus on F.A.C.A.D.E. which will finally answer the over twenty-year-old mystery, and be tied into the MCU before co-producer Kevin Feige arrived for an interview and Pascal swore it wasn't in continuity with the MCU.
As for Mr. Kozinkerov, he was given a new project in developing posters for the next Sony Movie. "They say Vlad here thirty-dollars. Make many Emoji movie posters for IMAX. Vlad will go back to Walgreens tomorrow."
Spider-Man: Homecoming arrives July 7th.
