Hannibal Buress knew he wouldn't be able to make it to the Spider-Man: Homecoming premiere, so he had a plan: hire an actor to play him at the premiere. In deleted tweets, Buress offered $500 for a look-alike, eventually settling on actor Joe Carroll, another bald Black man, and Marvel's reporters were none the wiser.
Though he couldn't be there, Buress didn't want to miss out on the event.

He also tweeted a portion of the interview from the red carpet.
Spider-Man: Homecoming is set to release July 7.
