Archie Bumps Jughead: The Hunger Up To Ongoing From One-Shot

The ongoing will pick up where the one-shot left off.

Last December, Archie Comics announced four one-shots to be released in May. Those one-shots consisted of The Archies, L'il ArchieSabrina The Teenage Witch, and Jughead: The Hunger. Of the four, only Jughead: The Hunger came out, with the rest being cancelled after solicitation.

Now, Archie is announcing that Jughead: The Hunger is being turned into an ongoing series, written by Frank Tieri, with art by Pat and Tim Kennedy. The series will pick up right where the one-shot left off, which saw Jughead give in to the hunger, mauling Reggie Mantle and skipping town. Betty Cooper, Werewolf Hunter, is on his trail, and it's time for the hunter to become the hunted.

If Archie's track record is anything, only every fourth issue will be released.
