Last month, DC announced Italian comics artist Enrico Marini will write and illustrate an original Batman story in two volumes. Now, they've revealed the title will be Batman: The Dark Prince Charming, along with sample pages.

Acclaimed European comics master Enrico Marini makes his American comics debut with an original, two-part graphic novel starring the Dark Knight! What secret connection do both Batman and The Joker share with a strange and mysterious young girl? After she's kidnapped by The Joker, Batman must plunge deep into the underworld of Gotham City and race against time to find out where she's being held. The stakes are high, and for Batman, it's personal!

Marini is known for his flamboyant art style and cinematographic storytelling in the Franco-Belgium comic market. His most popular works include Le Scorpion, which has sold over 2,000,000 copies, and Les Aigles de Rome, which has sold over 500,000 copies.

The first volume is set to release November 1, 2017. The second will follow in Spring 2018.
