SDCC: Grant Morrison Working On Two Sequel Titles

Wonder Woman: Earth One and Arkham Asylum

During DC's Meet the Publishers panel at San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC), writer Grant Morrison joined Dan Didio and Jim Lee onstage to make a couple of announcements. Both of these announcements are follow-ups to work he previously did for DC.

First, the follow up to 2016's Wonder Woman: Earth One Volume One. Morrison will be teaming up again with artist Yanick Paquette for Volume Two. Morrison described the sequel as the series' Empire Strikes Back, with Paula Von Gunter now being a "Nazi superwoman" who leads an invasion of Paradise Island.

Morrison is also working on a sequel to 1989's Arkham Asylum: A Serious House on Serious Earth aka. Batman: Arkham Asylum. Taking Dave McKean's place on art duties for Arkham Asylum 2 is Chris Burnham. Arkham Asylum 2 takes place in the Batman #666 continuity with Damien Wayne taking the role of Batman. His Wonder Woman sequel was described as "Empire Strikes Back", and here he is describing the Arkham Asylum 2 as his "jump the shark" moment.

Neither title was given a release date.
