Marvel and comiXology announced at Marvel's Next Big Thing panel at San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) that they are partnering up to offer up digital first titles for the comiXology Originals line. The first title out of the gate will be Immortal Iron Fists, written by Kaare Andrews with art by Afu Chan.

Immortal Iron Fists appears to be repurposed from the Iron Fists title promoted during the Marvel NOW! promotion. The story follows youngest person to have the power of the Iron Fist, Pei, who was introduced during Andrews' Iron Fist: The Living Weapon  series and the man tasked to be her teacher, Iron Fist Danny Rand.

Here is how comiXology describes the series:

A unique entry-point that's perfect for new fans and longtime readers alike! Danny Rand has been a lot of things: an orphan, a billionaire, a hero for hire, and the Immortal Iron Fist. He holds the ancient mantle and power of the Iron Fist that has been passed down through the generations but now he faces his most difficult challenge yet: being a mentor and teacher to Pei, a monk from K'un-Lun and the youngest person to ever bear the mark of the Iron Fist. While Pei tackles the trials of training and high school, Danny discovers there's another threat on the horizon, one that might take more than one pair of Iron Fists to defeat!

comiXology also offers a short preview of the first issue:
